CN-Logo.pngWe are excited to announce that Paola Moretto, Nouvola co-founder and CEO, was recently nominated as one of the most innovative women in cloud technology.

CloudNOW (Cloud Network of Women) is a consortium of the leading women in cloud computing and converging technologies, providing a forum for networking, knowledge sharing, mentoring and career development. You can follow the #TopWomenInCloud hashtag to see regular updates. You can also check out The Cube’s coverage of the event here.

CloudNOW culminated 2016 with its fifth annual Top Women in Cloud Innovation Awards event, where the winners of the CloudNOW Top Women in Cloud Award were announced. The winners were chosen based on their leadership in using technology to solve real-world business problems, their significant contributions to society and innovative approaches to moving the industry forward, honoring female-led teams who are doing innovative work in the cloud.  Winners included Erica Brescia, the COO of Bitnami; Raejeanne Skillern, VP of Data Center Group at Intel; Dianne Marsh, Director of Engineering at Netflix; and Julia Austin, CTO of Digital Ocean. The event was hosted at Google headquarters, and each one of the winners presented the project that garnered her place on the list.IMG_2584.jpg

Many thanks to event sponsor Cloudability for nominating Paola for such a prestigious award. It was awesome for Nouvola to be part of this event celebrating the most innovative and inspiring women in cloud technology. In Paola’s words: “I found myself in great company among such an aspirational and supportive group of leaders in the cloud world. CloudNOW is an outstanding initiative to shine a light on women doing amazing things in this field, and to honor and promote women that are making a difference in tech today to inspire the tech leaders of tomorrow. No glass ceiling here”.
