bigstock-Group-of-three-successful-busi-68707207At Nouvola, we build our products with developers in mind. Our software is designed to help make developers more efficient so they can build great stuff.

When developers are happy, we’re happy. When they spread the word about our great products, well, that makes us even happier.

Our friend Ryan Van Sickle, who is building a full stack application with Python, recently wrote about how he’s using Nouvola DiveCloud performance testing solution to derive a full set of cloud performance analytics and user metrics, while also testing different deployment configurations, and doing capacity planning at scale. DiveCloud, he explains, ‘helps developers and companies determine if web applications can scale to meet projected demand.’

This is so simple, yet so important. You can read more about the value of this testing on his blog, where he outlines the challenges of building an application on a limited budget and the benefit of understanding the performance ahead of time.

Here’s an excerpt:

“The challenge for me since I am back in the embedded world at work and not currently working in the cloud space, is to determine a solid cloud architecture that is reasonably low maintenance, low cost and high performance. Other than the fun of working with all the tech in the software stack I really don’t have a lot of time or money to put into infrastructure maintenance⬦. Once I get a stack spun up and have the app running, I will use Nouvola’s DiveCloud platform to load up the site and test key features of the application. I would like to put the new features of DiveCloud through the paces and generate some real user metrics for the baseline installation. Finally, I can tweak configurations and play with scaling my VM instance to find out what gives a reasonable level of performance on my app using the testing framework from Nouvola.”

Choosing the right cloud-based performance testing solution to help identify and iron out problems ahead of time can be make or break for web applications. We look forward to hearing more from all of our users about how DiveCloud helped them fine tune their applications to make them ready for prime time.
