This week, we are headed to CES, the Consumer Technology Association’s annual conference, which officially starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday. This will be the 50th CES, and with more than 2 million square feet of exhibition space to accommodate an expected 165,000 visitors, it’s already being touted as the biggest tech show ever. Celebrating 50 years as the global stage for innovation, CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. There is definitely a lot to be excited about. There is also a big media factor and many companies use CES as a prime platform to launch new products.
Connected Cars, Anyone?
We anticipate that car technology will steal the show this year, given the remarkable innovation that is happening in the space. A few trends we’ll be following closely are autonomous driving, personalization and smart mobility, and most importantly, IoT and the ever-accelerating connection of cars to a myriad of features and services hosted outside the ‘cockpit’.
Aligned with the recent Nouvola focus on connected car opportunities and the recently announced engagement with Jaguar Land Rover, Nouvola is pleased to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at CES. Nouvola will have a dedicated booth at the GENIVI Networking and Showcase eventat the Bellagio Resort & Casino.
We are proud to be a member of GENIVI Alliance, an industry association committed to driving the next generation connected car platform and providing open technology for the connected car. The alliance provides its members with a global networking community of more than 140 companies, joining connected car stakeholders with world-class developers in a collaborative environment. GENIVI will demonstrate connected car collaborations at CES. Additionally, GENIVI will host two panel discussions during SAE’s ‘ Connect2Vehicle’ conference track on January 5, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Topics will include discussions on connected car technology integration and defining standards for automotive software development. For all of you connected car enthusiasts, here’s a quick recap of why CES is the conference to attend and why you should visit the Nouvola booth.
